Prepare your teen for emergencies while home alone of babysitting. Safe Sitter®
This nationally recognized babysitting training program for students between the ages of 11-18.  Financial assistance available.

Students will learn :

Safety and childcare skills
Life and business skills
Care for a choking infant/child
Basic first aid and rescue skills
Prevent unsafe situations and what to do when faced with
danger such as power failure, weather emergencies, and more.

The time will be 9a-430p for the program at the Wabash County YMCA. Please bring a lunch and drink.

At the Y, we believe that a successful future for children and teens
begins with caring adults who make them feel loved, competent,
happy and healthy. That’s why Y staff and volunteers are also
mentors and role models, sharing a part of this very important
responsibility!
We invite teen Y-members (ages 10-18) to our upcoming August
programs for FREE. You may choose to attend one or all of our
programs, limited spots available. All programs are one hour long. Your child is welcome to hang out after wards and play games.

FEE: YMCA Members – $99*/child/week Non-Members – $119*/child/week * $10 late registration fee if payment is not received the Friday before the week of care

WHAT’S INCLUDED Breakfast, lunch, and a snack are provided Activities may include Honeywell Pool for swimming, field trips, movie days, cooking, video games, and more!

WHAT TO BRING Dress for indoor/outdoor play (tennis shoes required). Proper Attire: Clothing must be free from vulgarity and should not reveal undergarments, midriff, or torso. Bring a backpack or bag, bathing suit, towel, water bottle. Online completed participation packet is required. Must have a current Liability Waiver on file prior to participation.
